Our story

Born and raised in Santa Fe, NM; Barbara Hernandez spent her childhood surrounded by art. Both parents were art collectors of southwestern art. Her mother was an artist who painted retablos; her grandfather, aunt, and father enjoyed the art of woodcarving. She has always been inspired by the local traditional art of Northern New Mexico. Barbara is carrying forward a reinterpretation of a traditional art form. Her work follows tradition while adding her own personal touch.

Jean François Boutruche was born and raised in Brittany, France. He arrived in Santa Fe, NM in his twenties. His work encompasses metal sculpture, oil painting, photography and collage. He is enchanted with the open spaces and desert landscape of the Southwest.
